Cuphead is a level-selector game that is played in two players, and it’s up to you how long it takes. You must be at least 7 years old to play it, and it’s a very fun game but also very challenging.
This game is about two brothers: Cuphead and Mugman. One day, the two of them went to “The Devil’s Casino” and played poker at the biggest table. They were so lucky that the owner of the casino, The Devil, made a bet with them: if they roll a three, they were free, but if they roll any other number, he will take their souls. Guess what? They rolled a two and now they had to give their souls to The Devil.
They begged him to let them go. The Devil said that if they could go and take the debtors’ souls they would be allowed to leave, but if not, they would have to give him their souls. The brothers accepted and ran for their lives.
The game has three main worlds: Inkwell Isle I, Inkwell Isle II and Inkwell Isle III. There are two more: Inkwell Hell (where you beat The King Dice and The Devil) and Inkwell Isle IV (a DLC isle). To advance and get to the next level, you have to fight various bosses, one battle harder than the other.
There are six more bonus levels to get extra coins which are called: Run and Gun. Compared to other platform games like Among Us, Fireboy and Watergirl or Mario, Cuphead is the most unique game compared to any other game I’ve played before.
Although the game has many minuses, they do not affect the game, Cuphead having many pluses that bring him a lot of fame and appreciation. It is a very frustrating game, there are some pretty annoying bugs, but despite the bad things that this game has, let’s take a look at what good things this game has to offer: it has a cartoonish graphic which I find very interesting, the story is funny and unique and it is very family-friendly, you can play this game with your friends and that is very fun to do too.
In my opinion, it is a very fun game that costs only 20$ and it’s worth every penny.
I recommend it to you if you have a PlayStation 4/5 or a PC and I don’t have to explain why because, if I did it correctly, you understood my message from my review.
