Luni se prevedea o zi normală de școală, cu elevi doritori sau mai puțin doritori în ale învățatului, cu întâlniri între colegi care nu se mai văzuseră de câteva luni buni datorită educației online. Nimic anormal și totuși…. Intrând în cancelarie, nu am putut să nu remarc un tablou nou care impresionează prin coloristică, prin imagine, prin tot ce reprezintă arta. Toate acestea pot fi dezbătute de un profesor de desen care poate urmări notele de culoare și nuanțe ale picturii. Dar povestea din spatele lui nu poate fi spusă în cuvinte. Am să încerc…
În anul 2005 pășea pe treptele Colegiului Național de Informatică, în clasa a V-a, o fetiță cu chip luminos, cu un zâmbet în care încăpea o lume întreagă. Numele ei era Valentina Mâță, și venea aici pentru că dorea să învețe informatica și pentru că aici fusese elev și fratele ei, Alexandru. Nu era vorba de continuarea unei tradiții, îmi spunea, ci dorința de a învăța, de a descoperi, de a afla lucruri noi. Și a dovedit acest lucru, prin participarea timp de opt ani la diferite competiții și concursuri, care au vizat o gamă variată de discipline: de la matematică, la șah (unde a obținut premii recunoscute pe plan național) până la teatru, ea făcând parte din trupa de teatru CHOUETTE a colegiului sub conducerea de atunci a doamnei profesoare Alina Baluș cu care a participat la Festivalul International de teatru școlar antic, Altamura – Bari, Italia, 20-27 mai 2012, cu spectacolul AULULARIA de Platon.
În 2013 a hotărât ca studiile ei universitare să se desfășoara în Danemarca și astfel, la Copenhaga, a intrat în contact cu Jette Nielsen (Horn), considerat „zâna bună a românilor din Danemarca”, deoarece îi ajuta să găsească cazare, se implica în integrarea studenților români în comunitatea studenților internaționali și, mai ales, cultiva prietenii deosebite cu ei.
Ca o paranteză în povestea noastră, Jette Horn este o daneză pasionată de pictură și de oameni, Locuiește la Copenhaga, împreună cu cele două fiice ale ei. Lucrează din 2015 pentru studenții internaționali din Danemarca, pe care îi ajută să-și găsească o locuință și să se acomodeze la Copenhaga. Printre ei au fost foarte mulți studenți români, pe care i-a ajutat și cu care a legat prietenii minunate.
Pe Valentina a cunoscut-o în 2013, via mail, apoi prin Skype, și a ajutat-o să-și găsească cazare în Søborg, dăruind și o piesă de mobilier pentru camera pe care o închiriase. Atunci când s-au întâlnit, Valentina a remarcat un tablou în casa lui Jette care i-a adus aminte de „Luceafărul” lui Mihai Eminescu. Evident că pasiunea cu care Valentina a vorbit despre poemul eminescian a impresionat-o pe pictorița daneză care a vrut să știe totul despre poetul românilor. Prietenia lor a crescut, Jette încurajând-o să picteze, să-și transpună gândurile pe pânză. Printre tablourile făcute de Valentina, Jette a remarcat o pictură a unui fluture.
2016 a venit cu un șoc: tânara frumoasă de 22 ani, cu zâmbetul luminos pe care și l-a păstrat și în care încăpea o lume întreagă a urcat la îngeri. Jette a venit în țară să cunoască familia prietenei sale românce, să meargă la mormântul Valentinei, dar ce a impresionat-o cel mai mult a fost botezul nepoatei Valentinei, deoarece, în timp ce stăteau pe treptele bisericii, un fluture s-a așezat pe mâna fratelui. Acest lucru, dar și faptul că atunci când a vizitat o galerie în Barcelona a văzut o pictură în care apărea o femeie cu un fluture, a determinat-o pe Jette să creeze o fundație în numele Valentinei – A Butterfly Poject – care să lucreze cu tinerii români.
Iar tabloul pe care l-a admirat Valentina în casa lui Jette este acum în cancelaria colegiului care i-a format primii pași în viață, adică Colegiul Național de Informatică. Deși tabloul a fost expus în cadrul expozițiilor de artă organizate de pictorița daneză în București, pe Calea Victoriei, iar mai târziu la Athenee Palace Hilton și Crowne Plaza, Jette a luat hotărârea ca acesta să fie donat colegiului unde a învățat Valentina.
Tabloul impresionează prin cromatica puternică, prin imaginea tinerei care privește spre steaua de pe cer care pare a fi Luceafărul lui Eminescu. Nuanța de roșu prevestește metamorfoza celui nemuritor pentru a ajunge la Cătălina. Privindu-l, am înțeles de ce Valentina s-a gândit imediat la poemul eminescian.
A BUTTERFLY
Monday seemed an ordinary school day, with students more or less willing to learn, with meetings with collegues, who have not seen each other for several months due to online education. Nothing abnormal and yet …. Entering the office, I could not help but notice a new painting that made a lasting impression on me due to its color, its image. All this can be debated by an arts teacher who can follow the notes of color and shades of painting. But the story behind it cannot be told in words. I will try…
In 2005, a girl with a bright face, with a smile that could hold an entire world, was walking down the hallways of the National College of Informatics, in 5th grade. Her name was Valentina Mâță, and she came here for she wanted to learn programming and because of her brother, Alexandru, who had been a student here as well. “It wasn’t about carrying on a tradition”, she told me, “but the desire to learn, to discover, to find out new things”. And she proved this by participating in the span of eight years in various competitions and contests, which covered a wide range of subjects: from mathematics to chess (where she won nationally recognized awards) to acting, as she was part of the college’s acting troupe, CHOUETTE, at that time under the management of teacher Alina Baluș with whom she participated in the International Festival of ancient school acting, Altamura – Bari, Italy, May 20-27, 2012, with the play AULULARIA by Plato.
In 2013 she decided to pursue her university studies in Denmark and thus, in Copenhagen, she came in contact with Jette Nielsen (Horn), considered “the fairy godmother of Romanians in Denmark”, because she helped them find accommodation, was involved in integrating Romanian students in the international students’ community and, especially, developed special friendships with them.
As a parenthesis to our story, Jette Horn is a Danish woman passionate about painting and people. She lives in Copenhagen, along with her two daughters. She has been working since 2015 for international students in Denmark, whom she helps find a home and settle in Copenhagen. Among them there have been many Romanian students, whom she has helped and with whom she has made wonderful friends.
She first met Valentina in 2013, via email, and then Skype, and helped her find accommodation in Søborg, also offering her a piece of furniture for the room she had rented. When they met, Valentina discovered in Jette’s house a painting that reminded her of Mihai Eminescu’s ”Luceafărul” . Of course that the passion with which she talked about Eminecu’s poem impressed the Danish painter, who wanted to know everything about the Romanian poet. Their friendship grew stronger, Jette encouraging her to take up painting, to present her thoughts on canvas. Among Valentina’s paintings, Jette noticed the one of a butterfly.
The year 2016 came with a shock: the beautiful 22 year-old girl, with the bright smile which she had kept and in which a whole world would have fit, went up to heaven. Jette came to Romania to meet her Romanian friend’s family, to kneel at Valentina’s tomb. Yet, what impressed her the most was the christening of Valentina’s niece, because while they were on the stairs of the church, a butterfly sat on her brother’s hand. This, and also the fact that when she visited an art gellery in Barcelona she saw a painting of a woman with a butterfly, made Jette set up a foundation for Valentina -A Butterfly Project- which would work with Romanian young people.
The painting which Valentina had admired in Jette’s house is now in the teachers’ room of the college which once helped Valentina make her first steps in life, that is the National College of Computer Science. Although the painting was exhibited in art exhibitions organised by the Danish painter in Bucharest, on Calea Victoriei and later in Athenee Palace Hilton and Crown Plaza, Jette decided that the painting should be donated to the college where Valentina had studied.
The painting makes an impression due to its strong colouration, to the figure of the young woman who is gazing at the star in the sky that seems to be Eminescu’s Luceafărul. The shade of red is a premonition of the metamorphosis of the immortal in order to get to Cătălina. Just by looking at it, I could understand why Valentina thought of Eminescu’s poem.
